If you prefer tiller steering, the choice of tiller extension can make a big difference. Designed for the toughest conditions, Spinlock tiller extensions will reduce the strain and increase the pleasure of steering a fast boat. Standard equipment on Open 60s, Figaro Solo and Mini Transat boats. Straight tiller extensions are a compact solution for small cockpits and ideal for boats that turn fast and often and boats that roll.
Asymmetric tiller extension improves steering in three ways:
- More feel - for correct and precise control.
- More mobility - maintain the best steering position for the best possible trim and visibility.
- Less fatigue - correct steering position reduces back pain and improves concentration.
Asymmetrical handle fits better in the hand and supports the wrist. Two-handed steering allows the arms to rest in a more comfortable position with the elbow down. All models have push-button adjustment with Torlon ball locking. The standard joint is machined with a stainless steel swivel joint for precise movement in all directions. Comes with a Fast Pin for easy disassembly and storage. Integrated shock absorber. Diablo models have rubber joints that keep the tiller extension in the upright position for easier solo sailing.
