The Spinlock Deckvest Vito Ammar is a lightweight and comfortable fully equipped lifejacket that has been tested over long periods of time and in harsh conditions. The Deckvest Vito is approved to the ISO12042 standard, which for the first time harmonises international standards for the quality, design, production and use of lifejackets. It was developed in collaboration with the Volvo Ocean Race and was used by all teams during the last Volvo Ocean Race.
The Vito Ammar is equipped with Spinlock's smart Ammar Inflation System. This inflation system is not activated by moisture, but by water pressure. It is only activated when it is about 10 cm under water. The vest will therefore not inflate due to sea spray and rain. This makes the Spinlock Vito Ammar very suitable for use in extra harsh conditions.
The vest comes complete with a sprayhood and two different light sources. The Lume-On™ illuminates the bladder, while the Pylon Lifejacket Light™ stands out from the water, making you significantly more visible. It naturally has a loop for attaching a safety line, and is approved as a boat safety harness.
