The Blackgold rig has been chosen as the official charter rig for the IODA World Championships, European Championships, Asian Championships and Oceanian Championships for several years. Blackgold has had a number of good results in recent years. There is no rig like Blackgold.



45 microns black, hard anodized 7075 mast, 4 optional black booms and a black 7075 spreader. Heavy Duty 2.2 mm. 7075 T6 aircraft grade aluminum ensures absolute rigidity in the mast. Wool for spreader block is reinforced to avoid wear. Cleater is in hard anodized aluminum that does not wear.



Comes with a complete rigging package with fastening pins that do not wear the laces, low-friction nylon wake that is extra sensitive, sprig system with handle and all trim lines in vectran - absolutely no stretch. Low-friction mast lining for use with toft ring 2945700 is included. Blacklite is a 32 mm. soft boom that comes with a cock foot. Blacklite will flatten the sail and give a light sailor more speed in high winds. The Blackgold Medium boom is standard. A 40 mm. stiff boom with a cock foot that suits most sailors. The Blackgold Power boom is 45 mm. and stiffer to retain more power for heavier sailors. A smaller cock foot makes it easier for larger sailors to complete a stroke without having to take a step back. BlackMax is a 55 mm. extra stiff boom that can be sailed without a cock foot, and therefore gives larger sailors better freedom of movement in the stroke, and prevents the sailor from going too far behind in the stroke.
