The secret is a potassium mixture that leaves no residue. The potassium mixture shoots out a thick white smoke that extinguishes the fire. No pollution means no decontamination. All ingredients that come out of the device evaporate, and are environmentally friendly and non-toxic.
The potassium mixture in MAUS can extinguish several types of small fires. The unit is certified to extinguish fires in classes 8BC. In locations where there are requirements for EN3-7 fire extinguishing equipment, MAUS Xtin can act as a supplement to approved fire extinguishers.
