The lifebuoy increases safety in all aquatic environments. It is the foundation of lifesaving equipment, developed and tested over a long period of time and used all over the world.
The basic function is to provide buoyancy for the person in distress and the lifeguard. The lifebuoy is also the extended arm between the lifeguard and the person in distress. The design of the lifebuoy means that it floats with the water instead of drifting with the wind on the surface. The person in distress can then swim to the buoy themselves. Also consider the equally important functions of the lifebuoy in winter when there is challenging ice.
