The sleeve tube is the sleeve that surrounds the propeller shaft where it passes through the hull. This is often cast into the boat. Inside the boat it is often attached directly to the stuffing box. On the outside it ends in the stern bearing or it can end freely if a propeller shaft bracket is installed.
