The Hella Marine 2 Group Dimmer is a dimmer for both LED and incandescent bulbs. It has a sophisticated voltage regulation with a soft start function that protects the bulbs. When batteries are being charged, the voltage can go up to 14.4 volts on 12-volt systems, and 28.8 volts on 24-volt systems. This can shorten the life of the bulbs. The 2 Group Dimmer prevents the bulbs from being damaged by this.
The dimmer also provides low-voltage protection that prevents deep discharge of the battery. It turns off the light when the voltage drops below 9 volts on 12-volt batteries and at 18 volts on 24-volt batteries.
Hella 2 Group Dimmer can be used with most dimmer switches.
