StormX mooring line - elastic and durable

The popular StormX mooring line is our flagship mooring line. The line is elastic along its entire length, which means you don't need to supplement it with rubber or steel shock absorbers. The eye of the line is sewn with our patented and durable stitch. The rope comes with two abrasion protectors: one in the eye and one that runs freely along the rope. This allows you to protect the rope where there is the greatest risk of chafing.

The difference between Storm and StormX mooring ropes

StormX is a further development of Storm. It is based on the same recipe and is essentially the same line. The main difference is that we have braided the core with a 100% polyester sheath. This not only makes the line more comfortable to handle, but also allows us to offer StormX in several different colors. With this elastic line you can easily match your mooring lines with fenders, sails or canopies.

The right dimension gives the right suspension

With StormX it is important not to oversize the mooring line. For the suspension to work as effectively as possible, the line must have the same weight as your boat. If you use a line that is too thick, you will get the opposite effect because the line will be too stiff and can pull on the boat, which increases the risk of damage to bollards and the like.
