Product information

The ePropulsion Pod Drive 3.0 Evo 6HP marks a paradigm shift for motorsailers and small boats with inboard engines! The Pod Drive 3.0 Evo delivers 6 horsepower. It is therefore perfect for motorsailers up to and including 25 feet.

With an electric motor, you float forward quietly and comfortably. The motor is virtually vibration-free and has a very low noise level. It is brushless and requires no maintenance. With battery operation, you also drive completely emission-free. When you sail, the motor can regenerate power and charge the battery. ePropulsion calls this Hydrogeneration. Hydrogeneration only works with original E-series batteries from ePropulsion.

Compared to conventional inboard motors, an electric motor like the ePropulsion Pod Drive Evo takes up very little space and weighs little. This gives you more available space for other things. In addition, the motor is virtually maintenance-free. The motor itself is located in the underwater part directly in front of the propeller. There is no gearbox, and very few moving parts.

The Pod series gives you a wide range of options. The control unit and battery are sold separately, so you can put together the perfect solution for your needs. You can choose between three different control units, and three different battery sizes. For the Pod Drive 3.0 Evo you can use the ePropulsion E60 or larger battery. You can also use two E40 batteries connected in parallel. Although it is recommended to use ePropulsion's original 48V batteries, a properly specified battery from a third party supplier will also work.
