Epifanes PP Varnish Extra is a professional high gloss two-component primer. It is especially recommended as a sealer for oily wood, such as teak and iroco, but can be used on all types of wood.
The varnish is resistant to various chemicals, alcohols, soda, water and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents. It has excellent flow and wear resistance, very fast drying, superior filling and fast build-up. The varnish has sufficient elasticity to be applied to moving wood, such as masts.
PP Varnish Extra contains a UV filter, but for exterior use it is recommended to overcoat with 2-3 coats of Epifanes Polyurethane Clear or Epifanes Clear Varnish glossy for extra UV protection.
The varnish can be thinned with Epifanes Thinner for PP Varnish Extra (fast) or Epifanes Thinner for Poly-Urethane paints and varnishes (slow).
