AMEC WideLink B600S AIS transponder

AMEC Widelink B600S is a powerful and advanced AIS with a built-in antenna splitter. With the antenna splitter you can use the same VHF antenna for both the AIS and the VHF unit. You then connect the VHF to the AIS.



The Widelink B600S is a SO-TDMA Class B AIS. The biggest advantage of this type of AIS technology is that it transmits more frequently when you are moving at high speed. Regular AISs based on CS technology transmit every 30 seconds regardless of your speed. SO-AISs like this one will transmit more frequently when the speed is higher, thus providing more accurate position information. This makes the Widelink B600S particularly well suited for fast-moving vessels.



The AIS has 5W transmitter power, integrated GPS, multi-channel receiver, and can receive signals from both Class A and Class B AIS. It can be easily connected to a chartplotter and PC via NMEA2000/0183 or USB.
