The AMEC TB-520 is a man overboard system that works using AIS technology. It improves the chance of recovery by alerting nearby vessels equipped with AIS. When activated, it sends out an alert message that provides GPS position and a unique ID. In addition, it flashes strongly (SOS). It attaches to the life jacket, starts automatically when it comes into contact with water.
The TB-520 is small, lightweight and easy to use. The device can be activated automatically by the water sensor, or manually.
